Compound hit die
Compound hit die means one punch completes more than one process, usually we complete piercing and blanking at one time, so the die is designed with more pads constructing more hits. Like a panel with many screw holes, we must blank the panel out as well as piercing the holes after one operation. This die tool is used a lot of in our processes. It's suitable for low volume production. The die tooling cost is higher than single hit tooling.
